Wright asserted that nuclear fusion, the same process that fuels the sun, has the potential to produce enormous amounts of low-carbon energy, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. However, the complexities of replicating such a process on Earth are substantial, as it requires heating atomic particles to temperatures far exceeding those found in the sun.
